Holy Heresy

It should be noted that the heretics and atheists of the first strain of modernity, who seeded the deconstruction of value that exploded into popular postmodern culture, were in many ways profoundly religious, representing what we could call a heresy which is faith. In other words, they refused to allow their comprehension of reality to be dwarfed by contradictory, distorted, and degraded visions of value or the divine. Their rejection of these caricatures of reality was what we might refer to as a holy heresy that served to clearly identify the dross of degraded religion and its increasing cultural domination. Thus, the gates were opened for the authentic evolution of consciousness that birthed the great dignities of modernity.

Only when the deconstruction is absolute, thereby purifying the old conception of value of epistemological dross, can the dialectical pendulum of history and value swing back toward a new synergy. Just such a dialectically emergent notion of value is what we are articulating in our evolving First Principles and First Values embedded in a Story of Value.
